WHO: Youth 6th-12th Grade!

WHAT : Food, Worship, Music, Games, Smash Bros, Karaoke, Ice Cream, etc.

WHERE: @ Kent UMC (11010 SE 248th St, Kent, WA 98030 - We will carpool as a youth group from Vancouver Heights UMC. Cars leave at 9am!

WHEN: April 18 at 1 PM - April 19 at 12 PM

WHY: To continue the momentum of fellowship and tradition within our PNW Conference Youth!

COST: $10 per Youth.

Our Theme: Born Again

What does it mean to be ‘Born Again’? What does that look like? How do we do that? Do we change something about ourselves, or is it not about us and about the Holy Spirit changing us? Whether you feel ready, or scared, you are welcome to join us at Kent United Methodist Church to discover what it means to be Born Again and how that changes our lives.

Within the Overnighter, we will have a balance of Fun and Games, Worship, Music, Passion Groups, and Food! Within Worship, we will have devotion, reflection activities, and music.

What to Expect

  • This Lock-In will be packed with different activities with breaks in between them. Some activities are:

    • Worship

    • Passion Workshops

    • Large group games

    • Smash Bros

    • Karaoke

    • Ice Cream Party

  • Meals and snacks are provided. Please reach out if you have any dietary concerns.

    • Bible

    • Hygiene Products

    • Extra Clothes/Sleepwear

    • Pillow/Bedding

    • Sleeping pad/Camping bed/air mattress

    • Notebook/writing utensils

    • ‍ Personal water bottle

    • Charger for electronics

    DO NOT BRING:

    • Weapons

    • Drugs/Alcohol

    • Expensive items

  • We will sleep in a few area of the church. When you first arrive, you will be assigned a room by our registration table and registrar.

  • 1. NOTHING ILLEGAL OR DANGEROUS IS ALLOWED

    This is a drug-free, alcohol-free, smoke-free, swear-free, weapon-free, bullying-free church

    2. MEET NEW PEOPLE AND HAVE FUN

    Prompt attendance is required at all activities. No one should leave the church without authorized permission from the Coordinators and by notifying the Registrars.

    3. MAINTAIN A POSITIVE ATTITUDE

    Respect the authority of all Lock-In Leadership who have been trained to take on their specific roles.

    4. RESPECT PROPERTY AND SPACE

    Keep out of the personal space and property of others, as well as areas restricted by Lock-In leaders and staff.

    5. SHOW SIGNS OF LOVE, NOT HATE

    Exchange encouraging words and friendly greetings. No hate speech, or swearing. Romantic displays of affection—public or private—are not allowed at the overnighter

    6. INCREASE THE PEACE

    Smartphones, switches, tablets, and other electronics should be put away during all activities.

    7. OBSERVE QUIET HOURS AND LIGHTS OUT.

    Each delegate must be in their assigned room during designated times. Youth are not allowed to switch rooms without permission. Security will be patrolling grounds to ensure everyone’s safety.
